Emily Jane Bogard Swiger Pitts (1842-1924) was the eldest daughter of John R. Bogard and Eliza Shinn Bogard of Doddridge County, WV. She was born at Central Station, Doddridge Co., WV and married John Christopher Swiger (1837-1887) on Sept. 25, 1865 in Doddridge Co. After his death she married Ezekiel Pitts. She died at Broad Run, Ashley, Doddridge Co. and is buried there in the Swiger (Beaver) Cemetery.
