I thought Henry C. Ruf died in 1919. It says here that he died in '22. Wonder which is right? I always thought Henry L. Ruf quit school in 10th grade, after his father's death, to help support the family. Being born in 1904, that would make him about 15 yrs old in 1919.

Death record and obituary for Henry Conrad Ruf are in 1922. Most people in those days did not graduate from high school and went to work to help bring in money for the family. I believe Irene was the only child to graduate from high school in her family.
