From The Weekly Advocate, Newark, Ohio, Thursday, May 2, 1912.
"P. S. McCualsky, a cabinet maker in Jones street, living in the Belle Vista addition, reported that his house had been entered during the night and his trouser, containing $10 in money, stolen. The burglar entered the place by forcing a window on the ground floor. Mrs. McCualsky was awakened during the night by hearing some one crawling along the floor. She sat up in bed and told the intruder that he was discovered and that 'he'd better get out'. At the same time she called to her husband. The burglar jumped to his feet, grabbed Mr. McCualsky's trousers and dashed from the door, which he had unlocked to provide an exit to be used in case he left hurriedly.
The trousers and the money in the pockets were the only things stolen and though a careful search of the vicinity of the burglary was made, the garments could not be found."
